365 Project – Day 110

Another comment on buskers in Bath. I’ve already said that I don’t like amplifiers but I feel the same about ‘living statues’. What’s that all about, is it entertainment? Here’s an example is it entertainment or is it someone sitting down doing nothing? 20 April 2014

365 Project – Day 104

Through the beautiful city of Bath the River Avon wistfully wending its weary way westward . . . . . Oops, dangerous outbreak of Purple Prose reported by Bath blogger. 14 April 2014

365 Project – Day 103

One of our favourite walks is from the village straight up the hill to Beckford’s Tower. This is a familiar landmark at Lansdown on the northern side of Bath. Anyone who has used the Lansdown Park and Ride will know it. Built in 1827 by William Beckford it stands 120 feet high above the redundant…

365 Project – Day 85

This is NOT the Bath moon rocket, it is the memorial put up by “The Inhabitants and Visitors of Bath to the PRINCESS VICTORIA on the attainment of her majority. 24 May 1837.” It stands in the entrance to Royal Victoria Park. Obviously. 26 March 2014

365 Project – Day 64

It is The Independent Bath Literary Festival time, mind you there’s always some festival or other going on in Bath. Last night I went to see the legendary Count Arthur Strong which is always a treat and tonight Mrs Sixwheeler and I are going to see the cookery writer Claudia Roden who has long been…
