Hawthorn Berries On my walk with Maude today I could not help but notice the abundance of fruit. Apart from the hawthorn berries there were elderberries, blackberries (brambles) and sloes; all in abundance. It used to be said that a heavy crop of wild berries is the precursor of a hard winter. We shall see.…
