Sweet Chestnuts. Walked Maude in Weston Park this afternoon and came across these sweet chestnuts ripening. On such a small tree I can’t think they will come to much for a few years but there are prodigious numbers of fruit this year. Not very friendly things to pick! 29 August 2014
