On holiday in France we heard of cold, damp weather at home. It didn’t stop the grass growing though! 17 May 2015
Today we made it home safely at the end of our fabulous holiday in France. A lot of driving and a short trip on Eurotunnel and we were safely home. Unloaded the car, collected a very over excited Maude (who has a cough) and this as a celebration. It’s good to be home. 16 May…

After breakfast we visited the Auchan store in Avallon. This is part of a ritual we follow at the end of French holidays; we stock up on some of those distinctly French things it’s impossible to find at home as gifts to ourselves and our family. We did pretty well and managed to get away…

Last night’s excellent dinner was followed by a very good breakfast before we headed off to enjoy whatever Avignon has to offer. The very helpful people at the Hotel La Ferme pointed out good car parking and off we went. About ten minutes later we emerged from the car park right under the city walls…
