Today we have visited daughter and granddaughters near Bedford. After lunch I took Maude for a walk at what we call Woburn Woods.

This is an area of pinewoods on the sandstone ridge near Woburn; I think it’s actually called Apsley Wood but not to us. We’ve walked there with three different dogs for a period of over twenty years. It’s great for dog walking because the sandstone drains like a sieve so is practically mud free.

We love it there and used to walk there several times a week before we moved. Great to visit again.
