Oscar is next door’s cat and a very fine fellow.
Maude spots him in their garden and barks and growls at him ferociously, he ignores her completely. When he’s snoozing on the pavement and we walk past she looks the other way and pretends not to see him.
Sometimes when next door go away I feed him for them and he tops up his rations by keeping the local mouse population down; I’ve never had a cat as we’ve always had dogs, on the farm we had feral cats who wouldn’t come into the house.
I like Oscar.
