Today the good citizens of Bath have been terrified by a strange bright light in the sky. Old boys in caps and wizened crones were seen scratching their heads as they tried to find a memory of this strange phenomenon. Then we all realised that it was that thing unseen for so long – the sun! We were also blessed by large expanses of clear blue sky with just a few fluffy white clouds. Let there be rejoicing in the streets. Here is the view over the Botanical Gardens.

Later it showered a little. Now it is absolutely lashing down, ho hum back to normal with warnings of worse to come.
