365 Project – Day 116

This is Wild Garlic (Allium ursinum), also known commonly as Ramsons. It is edible and adds a nice garlicy bite to a salad or in an omelette, it can also be cooked and used as a substitute for basil in pesto. At this time of year the wooded hills around Bath are thick with it. As it flowers and matures the stench is quite overpowering when you walk through it. These Ramsons are about thirty feet from my front door, which is nice.
