Dragonfly
One of the problems of a photo a day is getting that photo. As I’ve mentioned before I try to use a photo I’ve taken that day but it just isn’t always possible so I try and keep a couple of backups just in case.
Today I was struggling and then this little beauty arrived in the garden; as far as I can make out it’s a Southern Hawker dragonfly, but if anyone knows better please let me know.

Just luck really, right place at right time. And keeping my eyes open. You should have heard the squawk when it took off and nearly flew straight up my nose!
