Rose Petals

Mrs Sixwheeler and I have a small garden which we are trying to stock with very fragrant plants. Earlier this year we planted a shrub rose Roseraie de l’Hay which I would call a proper ‘old fashioned’ rose with beautiful pink petals and a deep rose scent.

For a first year it has bloomed well and as the petals have been about to drop we have picked and dried them. This has given us a pretty and very fragrant pot pourri which has added a further dimension to the rose.
