Green Man
The Green Man is the representation of a face surrounded by or made from leaves. They may be found on churches and other buildings and The Green Man is a familiar pub name. Green men in various forms are found around the world and date back to pagan times, they are thought to be a fertility symbol.
I found this fellow at Rushmere Country Park in Bedfordshire.

Interesting nugget of information and lovely photo. I wondered what the “Green Man” pub was about. I’ve seen a couple in my travels.
Look up “Green Man” on Wikipedia, I’ve been aware of green men for years but had absolutely no idea either ho ancient nor how widespread they are. Proper old pagan stuff!
