In the beautiful city of Bath we are lucky enough to have two specialist cheesemongers, which is very nice if you happen to like cheese. Which I do.

I was going into Bath for the rugby and Mrs Sixwheeler wanted shops so we went into town together and to Bath Abbey where The Fine Cheese Company were holding “Blessed Are the Cheese Makers” with over twenty artisan cheese makers displaying their wares and selling cheese. For those who don’t know (if there are any) the title is from Monty Python’s Life of Brian which seemed appropriate in the Abbey; perhaps because of the very artisan nature of the cheese mongers there was nothing like the “moneychangers in the temple” in this event.

And we both managed plenty of samples as well. That’s a result.
