Maude and I walked into town today for a run in the park. Everything is now coming into bloom and I was spoilt for choice for a photo. Wonderful blue ceonothus, tall horse chestnut trees with their white candles – if I’d found a red one I’d have taken that, brilliant yellow laburnums. But the prize had to go to this wisteria.

We’re off to France in the morning so there will hopefully be some interesting pictures coming up.
