Yesterday I wrote about our day in the Cotswolds. One thing the area is famous for is the buildings made from Cotswold stone, this is an Oolitic limestone laid down during the Jurassic period. The stone varies in colour throughout the region, here in Bath the stone is quite pale but the most beautiful, and typical, is the almost buttery colour of the Cotswold villages further north. Like this.
